Dallin said that Brazil celebrated their Independence Day last week. There were lots of festivities throughout the country and lots of people enjoyed shooting off fireworks and their guns.
Dallin says the work is "progressing slowly" and at times it his hard to not become frustrated. But he says that they have been teaching a man named Lúcio who "shows a lot of promise, we just need to help him overcome a few Word of Wisdom issues".
"Also, the Mission Christmas Choir is starting up next week with Elder Brown directing it, so we've been running around like crazy getting ready for that. I also got recruited to sing bass in the choir so for now on my P-Days will include heading into Portão every morning for practice. It should be fun though, we're trying to find a tuba for me to play as a solo for a song maybe."
